THE SERVICE CAMP

jULY 10 - july 25, 2021

Anguilla, British Virgin Islands

DEVELOPING SCHOLAR ATHLETES THAT CARE FOR THE WORLD

OVER 30 SERVICE HOURS IN 1 TRIP!

Hello parents and players!

We understand your struggles.  Time is not a commodity YOU have enough of.  Your kids are required to graduate with a set number or service hours but when you do the Math; it seems inconvenient if not downright  impossible to concurrently complete the school's prerequisites, the athletic preparation, the service hours, and to live a balanced life like ALL teenagers should.

We Got you covered!

This summer, experience the "WHOLE SHEBANG". Think Service meets Summer Camp, Culture and Education. We call this one the "GIVE BACK" Service Camp!

As tennis players, we know a thing or two about Service.

1. Service:

Participants will complete their Main Service Project with 30 hours of mentoring and teaching tennis to young local children in need every morning.  Additionally, they will assist with fundraising efforts for the non-profit Anguilla Tennis Academy. We will be celebrating the ATA's 25th year anniversary in style.

The Anguilla Tennis Academy is dedicated to providing the highest quality tennis instruction to Anguilla's Locals, Caribbean, and International youth in a competitive environment, while encouraging exemplary sportsmanship.

2. Tennis:

After helping local children in need, players will turn their attention to their own high performance development.  They will enjoy a World Class Tennis Camp designed to fine-tune their skills for tryouts.   Giving back should not equate forgetting about one's own improvements.

3. Caribbean Life:

Working hard to help fellow humans requires some well deserved R & R to revitalize the soul and replenish the mind.

This Sunbathed Paradise Island was voted 2019 Best Island in the Caribbean by Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards for the third Year in a Row.

We will experience every possible beach activity, boating trips, and excursions the Island will offer.

If you are excited about Giving Back while Taking in, you have OFFICIALLY found your next summer destination.

Interested?  Reach out and we will contact you to discuss further.

Thanks! We will be in touch shortly.

Anguilla

FRICTION #1

Not enough Time

A normal school year is now packed with studies, athletic and extra curricular activities. Students' schedule are so filled to a point that they barely have time to sleep and recover from the stress they accumulate.

On top of this, they are all require to somehow manufacture time to complete their humanitarian duties by completing 50 hours of service hours.

In a normal day, the most organized kids now spend 13 hours with school related preparation & activities, 4 hours on homework, 1 hours to eat and unwind, which leaves them with less then 6 hours per night to sleep during the week.

It is terribly taxing and weekends are no better as they have become the athletic development, and team competition prime time.

To salvage some type of sanity, students usually reserve short social hours on weekend as well.

In other word, there is no extra time to fulfill the service hours without incorporating them in some type of summer internship or planned trip devoid of strong memories.

FRICTION #2

Not enough Options

Helping humanity is a great concept that  should not be completed with grief or detachment.

Because of the lack of adequate choices, students often have to compromise.

They end up serving in programs they dislike ruining the very spirit of giving expected to be instilled.

Imagine doing something you are forced to do rather than doing something you LOVE TO DO!

Serving within your passion is really the ideal solution but they are not enough option to satisfy students' aspirations.

Animal lovers can go save the Turtles in the Galapagos.

English speakers with an interest in teaching can go to multiple destinations to teach English.

Handymen and women can go to developing countries to build houses, shelters, and schools.

Athletes who need consistent continuity in their development are usually unfairly punished for lack of constructive options where they can give back and continue to progress at the same time.

Here is how to give back and get ahead!

FRICTION #3

Not enough Fun

Students today are more stressed out and medicated than ever before.

The pressure and expectations put on their accomplishments are tremendous

and short of Utopian.

While the expectations of success are high, the levels of FUN, JOY, and BALANCE in their activities are often non-existent.

Students today no longer play.

They are thrust into our manic world and forced to perform 24/7 at 120% with no sleep. Enthusiasm is never part of the equation in this quest for excellence.

The results expected justify the process and kids' passions are irrelevant to the requirements they must complete.

What if we could create a trip that would combine Tennis Players' Passion with the most beautiful and relaxing venue the Caribbeans can offer.

A destination where Tennis fanatics could teach their passion to the warmest audience on earth, then take part in a high performance training to continue to improve, and close out the day in spectacular Island fashion with Instagram ready activities?
